KL Płaszow

Concentration camp Płaszow was the first stop for the Jews of the Krakow ghetto. For many it was also the last one and their remains merged with the soil. It is a site without a site, a contaminated landscape. "Hitlerites," as memorials here refer to them, leveled the camp with the ground as their defeat was imminent and sent the remaining prisoners on a hunger march to Auschwitz.
